Three Castles cover are based at the edge of the stunning Brecon Beacons national park. Seeking inspiration for our new company name we had only to look out of the window to find what we were looking for - a castle representing stability and security. Just a few miles up the road we have the glorious three castles walk – a 19 mile circular walk taking in the beautiful landscape of the Welsh marches. The Three Castles were established by the Normans in the wake of their conquest of England in 1066 and have stood proud ever since. It is these castles that have protected the community and from which we take our name. Three castles cover have not been around for quite as long as the castles, but we believe we have built on some very strong foundations. Our three Directors have each worked in motor insurance for their whole careers and have a huge passion for offering savings to underserved customers whilst maintaining market beating performance for our rated partners.
Three Castles cover has identified an opportunity in the personal lines motor market based on supporting underserved customers. Our systems enable the identification, targeting and performance analysis of the underserved market enabling market leading loss ratios whilst providing meaningful savings for underserved motor customers
The UK private car and light commercial vehicle markets have moved out of the rapid inflationary phase and into a more stable, but highly segmented environment. The market is increasingly commoditised and heavily price-driven, with an emphasis on online purchasing. This causes any risks falling outside narrow automated acceptance criteria to be either declined or materially overpriced.
These market conditions are prevalent in the private car and commercial vehicle markets, which is creating a growing pool of technically standard, underserved customers.
